The Bare Ground Mag Plus Liquid Deicer 5 Gallon BG-5P contains a magnesium chloride (MgCl) formula that melts snow and ice faster and at lower temperatures than standard rock salts. This liquid deicer is environmentally safe, biodegradable, water soluble, non-staining, and non-toxic to people, plants, pets, and livestock. It can be diluted with water at a 50:50 ratio and sprayed directly on lawns, trees, and delicate shrubs to prevent breakage caused by ice and snow accumulation. The liquid deicer is USDA Bio-Preferred listed and can be applied before snowfall to reduce snow accumulation by 2-3 inches while creating a nonstick surface that prevents bonding of ice and snow on driveways, walkways, patios, decks, roofs, and all materials, making snow removal easier. It is virtually non-corrosive, fast acting, and safe for use on various surfaces including blacktop/asphalt, cement, concrete, pavers, brick, and wood.
