The lightweight service door is designed for ease of use in fast-paced environments, such as restaurants and food service applications, where lower costs and aesthetic appeal are important. Each door panel weighs approximately 1 PSF, significantly less than typical impact doors, facilitating effortless passage. The doors are constructed from .063" anodized aluminum to ensure long-lasting durability, and feature a diamond-patterned leading edge that provides vertical panel stiffness and edge protection to minimize damage. The back edge, measuring 5" wide by 1" thick, is reinforced with 3/8" plywood and capped with aluminum for enhanced strength. The proven hinge mechanism is mounted to the jamb utilizing an offset cam and hardened rollers, ensuring minimal maintenance and reliable service over the years. Additionally, each door includes a high-visibility acrylic window that measures 9"W x 14"H, securely set in black rubber molding.
