It is powered by a heavy-duty 1-1/2 HP TEFC motor, delivering optimal speeds of 1960 RPM for the disc and 2850 RPM for the belt, making it suitable for materials such as metal, wood, plastics, compositions, and leather. The machine includes a standard die-cast aluminum miter gauge for easily achieving plain and compound miters, a fully machined balanced disc that runs vibration-free, an adjustable heavy-duty cast iron removable platen, and a removable upper guard for contour finishing. Additionally, it has variable position locks that allow for vertical adjustment of the belt head, completely enclosed drums, and a guarded sanding belt. The heavy-duty one-piece steel stand adds stability, and the unit typically comes with a 60 grit belt and disc.
