The Jet combination bench belt and disc sander is designed for superior finishing and features a heavy-duty steel base, cast construction, and a cast iron tilting table to enhance durability and performance. The kit includes a deluxe miter gauge that allows for angles of 45° both left and right, a hinged idler wheel cover, and a removable platen. The abrasive belt unit performs the functions of a jig saw, coping saw, or hand file, enabling the operator to work on small openings, odd shapes, and angles while efficiently sanding, grinding, or finishing outside curves. The disc unit is optimized for large work pieces and, when combined with the tilting table, allows for chamfering or beveling; the table is slotted to accept the miter gauge. This machine delivers a sharper, faster cutting action with easy belt changes available in various grits, maintaining cool operation for a wide range of tasks. Additionally, using non-woven synthetic belts enables blending, polishing, buffing, or finishing metal surfaces, alongside defuzzing wood surfaces. The sander also includes a dust deflector and chute for effective debris management.
