Constructed using the Meehanite casting process, Jet variable speed milling machines provide consistent and reliable operation. The machines feature precision bored and honed milling heads that ensure quality cuts, while a large diameter chromed quill and high precision class 7 spindle bearings enhance performance. The heavy-duty spindle motor drive and chrome plated motor shaft with lower bearing support contribute to durability, and the spindle head is internally cooled for optimal efficiency. The three-stage power downfeed with automatic stop, along with a heavy-duty spindle brake, facilitates ease of use. Additional attributes include locks on all movable surfaces, precision hardened and ground ways and table, adjustable gibs throughout, and an internal coolant tank built into the casting base for use with a coolant system (coolant pump not included). The kit includes a tolerance test sheet, one shot lubrication system, way covers, draw bar, and a toolbox with tools.
