GN 817.2 indexing plungers are designed with a longer knob compared to the GN 817 model. This type features a rest position, allowing the plunger to remain retracted without continuous protrusion. The knob can be turned by 90 degrees to lock the plunger in place, with a notch ensuring it stays secure. The nylon plastic hand knob has a maximum heat resistance of 110°C (230°F). Key specifications include a threaded body made of stainless steel complying with European standard 1.4305 (American standard 303 series), a plunger pin constructed from ground and chemically nickel plated stainless steel, and a matte black glass fiber reinforced nylon plastic knob that is not removable. Additionally, it includes a lock nut made of stainless steel conforming to European standard 1.4301 (American standard series 304), DIN 439 / ISO 8675.
