The Quincy Lab slide cabinet is designed for pathological laboratories, doctors' offices, and research institutions requiring protected, compact, and organized micro-slide storage. Constructed from heavy-gauge steel, it features a baked-on, rust-resistant enamel finish in a smooth "non-textured" surface for easy cleaning. The cabinet is stackable using interlocking tabs and is compatible with other cabinets on the market, allowing for interchangeable stacking. Each cabinet includes six individual drawers, accommodating up to 5,000 standard 3" x 1" glass slides. A solid base unit, sold separately, provides support and rests on scratch-proof rubber feet, with both cabinet and base available in standard tan or Quincy clean-room ivory. The drawers are equipped with black phenolic pull knobs for convenience and have a safety stop to prevent them from falling out when extended, while also being easily removable for moving to a work station by tipping upward. Foam rubber dividers help keep slides upright when drawers are partially filled, and identification tabs are provided for labeling. Each slide cabinet undergoes a thorough inspection before shipment and is packaged using recyclable, biodegradable materials.
