The Vollrath Servewell SL Hot Food Table (38218) is a four-well unit with a power rating of 13.3 amps, designed to hold heated prepared foods at safe temperatures above the HACCP "danger zone" of 140°F (60°C). It accommodates full-size or fractional pans up to 4" (10.2 cm) deep and is compatible with standard adaptor plates and insets. The unit features thermoplastic fiber-reinforced resin wells that are self-insulating, ensuring maximum energy efficiency without rusting or pitting. Its thermostatic heat controls automatically adjust for variations in water temperature and food volume, reducing food waste. An indicator light signals low water levels, eliminating guesswork, while the dome heating elements use up to 25% less energy and direct heat into the wells. The non-stick surface of the heating elements prevents scale build-up, promoting easy cleaning and longer service life. An optional 6 1/4" (15.875 cm) wide x 3/8" (9.5 mm) thick polyethylene NSF-approved cutting board is available, along with a 10 ft (3 meters) bottom-mounted power cord and an optional caster set (model 38099). The unit is shipped knocked down, and a dedicated circuit may be needed for higher currents.
