FloodMaster's water heater leak alarm and automatic shut-off system is designed to minimize water damage from potential leaks or failures. The kit includes a lead-free NSF372 valve, which complies with U.S. EPA safe drinking water standards, and is made entirely of corrosion-free materials. This closed-loop system requires basic plumbing installation, enabling it to disable the cold water supply line to hot water tanks or similar applications. The sensor can be placed on the floor, in a pan near the pressure relief valve drain tube, or other areas where water leakage may occur. When the sensor detects water, it automatically shuts off the feed water intake, and an audible alarm sounds, ensuring prompt action even if no one is home.
