The Scimatco 32-gallon under-the-counter flammable cabinet features a self-closing design and measures 35"W x 22"D x 35-1/2"H. It is constructed from 1" multi-ply exterior-grade plywood, providing thermal insulation for the cabinet contents in the event of a fire. This cabinet is suitable for installation under laboratory casework or as a standalone unit, finished in bright yellow for immediate identification. The cabinet floor is designed as a liquid-tight trough that meets OSHA requirements for secondary containment. It includes two internal metal locks, each supplied with two keys, and has a toe space of 1-3/4"D x 2-1/2"H. The cabinets are designed to support standard laboratory fume hoods, though the work surface is not included. All cabinets are built to meet or exceed applicable NFPA and OSHA standards, and the self-closing door models comply with all relevant Uniform Fire Code standards. Additionally, Scimatco has identified that certain states—including AK, AZ, CA, CO, HI, ID, MT, NV, NM, OR, UT, WA, and WY—require self-closing doors for flammable cabinets according to the UFC.
