The Idem 205005F KL3-SS guard locking switch is a flat actuator with a standard release mechanism, operating at 110V and featuring a 1/2NPT connection in stainless steel. This guard locking switch is engineered for robust position interlock detection for moving guards, utilizing a lock mechanism that ensures the guard remains closed until the hazard is cleared. It is tongue-operated and designed for installation on the leading edge of sliding or hinged machine guards, offering positively operated switching contacts and a tamper-resistant key mechanism that is not easily defeated. Depending on the risk assessment of the application, the switch can function independently to provide positively operated contacts compliant with EN60947-5-1 or in conjunction with any dual-channel safety monitoring relays, achieving up to Performance Level e (PL e) according to category 4 of ISO13849-1 or Safety Integrity Level 3 (SIL3) as per EN62061.
