The Idem 405003 RFID coded non-contact switch SP-RFID-U features a sensing distance of 14mm with a wide tolerance for guard misalignment, ensuring reliable operation in various environments. This switch is designed to provide and maintain a high level of functional safety while offering a high anti-tamper coded activation. The coding mechanism employs magnetic and radio frequency techniques, both of which must be satisfied for safe operation. It is compatible with most standard safety relays, achieving up to PLe/category 4 compliance according to ISO 13849-1. The switch is housed in high specification plastic and offers IP69K ingress protection, making it suitable for areas requiring high-pressure cleaning and for use in CIP and SIP processes. Available in two types, the LPF-RFID and SPF-RFID switches can be coded either by series (Type 1: LPF-M-RFID or SPF-M-RFID) or uniquely (Type 2: LPF-U-RFID or SPF-U-RFID) with 32,000,000 unique codes for enhanced security in interlocked door scenarios.
