All IDEM magnetic non-contact safety switches are designed to conform to EN60947-5-3 and can be used as directed by ISO12100, ISO14121, and EN60204-1. They employ magnetic sensing to provide a wide (>12mm) sensing distance with high tolerance to misalignment, and they can operate from four directions in extreme environments of temperature and moisture. The switches feature volt-free high power switching capability of either 1A or 2A AC/DC, making them suitable for low-risk applications or for use with safety relays to achieve higher safety levels. Specifically designed for interlocking hinged, sliding, or removable guard doors, these switches are particularly advantageous when poor alignment exists, high hygiene levels are needed, or high switching capacity is required. When combined with dual channel safety relays, they can achieve up to PLe/category 4 per ISO13849-1. Key specifications include magnetic high power switching up to 230VAC 2A, with options for miniature, compact, wide, or barrel type housings, as well as dual channel safety output (2NC with 1NO auxiliary optional). They are available in plastic or stainless steel 316 (food industry compatible) and offer high temperature stability up to 80C (plastic) or 105C (stainless steel). The switches have high tolerance to guard misalignment, resistance to many organic and inorganic chemicals, and enclosure protection rated to IP67 or IP69K, ensuring resistance to high temperature hosing and detergent washdown. Volt-free contacts support up to 230VAC 2A and 24VDC 2A (internally fused), and the compact slim fitting housing makes them suitable for applications with limited space.
