3M™ Scotch® 976 ATG adhesive transfer tape is a 1/4" x 36 yds roll featuring a 2 mil clear construction, with a total of 72 rolls per case. This tape is specifically designed for bonding materials with glossy coatings, providing an aggressive adhesive with high initial adhesion and low profile. It exhibits very good chemical and moisture resistance, along with medium-high UV resistance. The adhesive creates a very high initial bond that is permanent and offers good solvent and UV resistance. The tape is comprised of a tacky acrylic adhesive mounted on a densified kraft (DK) paper liner, allowing it to adhere to challenging surfaces, including those with high humidity and exposure to sunlight, such as glossy coated materials, fabrics, textiles, and textured surfaces. It is reverse wound on a 1-inch diameter core, making it compatible with Scotch® ATG applicators. This tape provides strong adhesion on contact to a variety of substrates, including foams and plastics (ABS, acrylic, PP, PE), serving as a solid alternative to staples, liquid adhesives, and glue guns. Recommended applications include attaching fabric swatches in sample books, assembling point-of-purchase displays, bonding trim strips to furniture or luggage, bonding labels to plastic toys, and attaching gaskets or foams.
