3M™ Scotch® 893 Filament Tape measures 2 inches wide by 60 yards long and has a thickness of 6 mil. Each case contains 24 rolls. This filament-reinforced tape features a clear polypropylene backing that offers resistance to abrasion, moisture, scuffing, and breaks, even when nicked or punctured. The tape's increased tensile strength makes it suitable for a range of applications including metal splicing, rebar and pipe bundling, and reinforcing large bulk containers. It dispenses smoothly without curling, allowing for easy application, while the multi-layer synthetic-rubber adhesive system prevents delamination. The synthetic adhesive provides strong bonding to various surfaces typically used in packaging, such as corrugated cardboard, fiberboard, plastic, and metals. Recommended applications for this tape include high strength reinforcing, heavy-duty strapping, sealing and palletizing cartons, securing boxes, coil tabbing, and metal and pipe bundling. The tape is designed to withstand rough shipping and handling conditions, and its glass yarn filaments enhance its strength for tasks such as box closing and bundling.
