3M™ Scotch® 890MSR filament tape measures 1" x 60 yds and has a thickness of 8 mil, with 24 rolls per case. Designed for applications requiring adhesion to oily surfaces, this filament-reinforced tape is particularly effective for bundling and wrapping on heavy gauge metals or in situations exposed to gas or oil. It showcases long-term holding power, very-high tensile strength, and superior resistance to abrasion, moisture, and scuffing. The construction features a clear, filament-reinforced polypropylene backing that ensures exceptional tensile strength while remaining resistant to abrasion, moisture, and breakage, even when nicked or punctured. The tape dispenses without curling, facilitating easy application. Its pressure-sensitive, modified synthetic rubber adhesive is precisely formulated to offer improved adhesion compared to natural rubber adhesives, bonding well to metals and oily surfaces. Additionally, it incorporates glass yarn filaments for added strength, making it suitable for pipe wrapping applications. The tape demonstrates excellent performance in demanding shipping and handling conditions and offers outstanding aging properties before and after application to maximize its lifespan. Furthermore, it is customizable and can be printed upon using a print seal process for advertising and warning purposes.
