3M™ Scotch® 976 ATG Adhesive Transfer Tape measures 1/2" x 36 yds and consists of 72 rolls per case. This tape features a 2 mil clear tacky adhesive mounted on a densified kraft (DK) paper liner, designed for bonding materials with glossy coatings where high initial adhesion and a low profile are required. It provides very good relative chemical and moisture resistance, along with medium-high UV resistance, allowing for effective bonding in environments exposed to humidity and sunlight. The acrylic adhesive is capable of sticking to challenging, varied, and textured surfaces, making it suitable for low profile applications on difficult-to-bond materials including glossy coated surfaces, fabrics, textiles, and textured substrates. The tape is reverse wound on a 1-inch diameter core for compatibility with Scotch® ATG applicators. Key features include strong adhesion to a variety of substrates, including foams and plastics such as ABS, acrylic, PP, and PE, and it serves as a strong alternative to staples, liquid adhesives, and glue guns. Recommended applications involve attaching fabric swatches in sample books, assembling point-of-purchase displays, bonding trim strips to furniture or luggage, bonding labels to plastic toys, and attaching gaskets or foams.
