3M Double Coated Tape 9579 is a strong, high-tack adhesive tape designed for reliable adhesion to metal, plastics including polyester, polycarbonate, and high-density polyethylene, glass, and low surface energy substrates such as polyolefin plastics. The tape offers clean one-strip removal from many materials and is easy to handle with the ability to tear by hand. It is suitable for a variety of indoor and outdoor applications including general industrial use, converter solutions, MRO, packaging, metalworking, crafts, signage, and construction. With a robust 9 mil tape thickness and synthetic rubber adhesive 760 on both sides, it provides instant handling and strong holding power on difficult surfaces, making it ideal for core starting and end tabbing on metal rolls, die-cutting, splicing rough or coated materials, among other uses. The tape tolerates short-term heat exposure up to 150°F (66°C) and long-term continuous use up to 120°F (49°C).
