3M™ 9579 double coated tape is a 2" x 36 yds roll measuring 9 mil in thickness and comes in a case of 24 rolls. This tape features a 9.0 mil double coated high density polyethylene with a rubber adhesive 760, applied to a 62 lb white densified kraft liner. It is a high-tack, hand tearable tape with pressure-sensitive adhesive on both sides of the carrier. The medium-firm synthetic rubber adhesive offers very high adhesion to various surfaces, good shear holding power, and ensures one-piece removal from most substrates. Key attributes include high initial adhesion, excellent quick stick, and good adhesion to low surface energy substrates. This tape is suitable for indoor and room temperature applications and is primarily designed for general industrial joining and affixing tasks. The core is designed for metal cores, and it possesses thicker carrier characteristics compared to the 3M™ 7945MP double coated tape.
