3M™ Scotch® 969 ATG adhesive transfer tape measures 1/4" x 18 yds and features a thickness of 5 mil, with 72 rolls per case. This clear adhesive transfer tape bonds effectively to a wide variety of materials, including plastics, glass, paints, and glossy surfaces, providing a very high initial adhesion that forms an immediate, permanent bond. It is designed to offer good resistance to solvents and UV light, making it suitable for use in areas with high humidity and sunlight exposure. The tape incorporates 3M™ adhesive 300, known for its high initial adhesion and compatibility with substrates such as metals, coated papers, fabrics, foams, and both high surface energy (HSE) and low surface energy (LSE) plastics. The acrylic adhesive has been rigorously tested according to ASTM procedures for peel adhesion, temperature and humidity resistance, as well as its ability to withstand exposure to UV, fuels, acids, and detergents. This product provides excellent shear holding power, adheres well to glossy surfaces and most plastics, conforms easily to curves and contours, and bonds effectively to smooth and moderately textured surfaces, all while leaving no mess, residue, or odor. Common applications include sealing pocket folders, bonding mat board in picture frames and dust covers, splicing paper, films, and foils, general-purpose bindery attachment, and mounting promotional items and posters.
