3M™ Scotch® 890MSR filament tape measures 2" x 60 yds and features an 8 mil clear construction, supplied in a case of 24 rolls. This filament-reinforced tape is specifically designed for applications that require adhesion to oily surfaces, making it ideal for bundling and wrapping on heavy gauge metals, as well as for situations where exposure to gas or oil is possible. It boasts long-term holding power, very-high tensile strength, and excellent resistance to abrasion, moisture, and scuffing. The tape is made with a clear, filament-reinforced polypropylene backing that enhances its durability, allowing it to maintain integrity even if nicked or punctured. It dispenses easily and smoothly without curling, facilitating straightforward application. Its pressure-sensitive, modified synthetic rubber adhesive offers superior adhesion compared to natural rubber adhesives, bonding effectively to metal surfaces. Additionally, the incorporation of glass yarn filaments provides enhanced strength for pipe wrapping scenarios.
