3M™ 9589 double coated film tape is available in a size of 3/4" x 36 yds and comes in a case containing 48 rolls. This tape features a high-density polyethylene carrier with a thickness of 9 mil, combined with synthetic rubber adhesive on a densified kraft paper liner. It is designed to provide high initial adhesion and excellent holding power, making it versatile for bonding to a variety of materials. The specially treated paper liner enhances its strength and removability characteristics, allowing for clean removal from many surfaces. The tape offers dimensional stability and can be torn by hand, facilitating ease of use. It is compliant with FDA 21 CFR 175.105 guidelines for indirect food contact, making it suitable for applications in environments where food safety is a concern. Recommended applications include carpet installation, general industrial mounting, joining and splicing, miscellaneous joining and holding where high initial tack is required, as well as die-cutting and laminating applications.
