3M™ 415 double coated tape measures 3/4" x 36 yds and has a thickness of 4 mil. Each case contains 48 rolls. This tape features a double coated design that provides a balance of high initial adhesion and good holding power on a variety of substrates, particularly paper. It consists of a 4.0 mil double coated polyester tape with 3M™ acrylic adhesive 400 mounted on a 60 lb densified kraft paper liner. The tape boasts excellent UV resistance and performs well in conditions up to 180°F/82°C for short term exposure and 150°F/65°C for extended periods. It adheres effectively to both high and low surface energy substrates, which include metals, glass, wood, paints, many plastics, as well as various grades of paper, films, foils, clay-coated, and corrugated paper stock. The tape is ideal for printing applications, providing high tack and adhesion to most paper stocks and ensuring easy handling during print splicing due to its double sided adhesion that increases dimensional stability. Recommended applications include high-speed flying splices, zero speed splices, web splicing, core starting, and use with films and foils.
