3M™ 9579 double coated tape measures 1" x 36 yds and comes in a case of 36 rolls. This tape features a 9.0 mil double coated high-density polyethylene with rubber adhesive 760, mounted on a 62 lb white densified kraft liner. It is a high-tack, hand tearable double coated film tape equipped with pressure-sensitive adhesive on both sides of the carrier. The medium-firm synthetic rubber adhesive provides very high adhesion to a variety of surfaces, along with good shear holding power and the capability for one-piece removal from most substrates. The tape exhibits high initial adhesion, excellent quick stick, and good adhesion to low surface energy substrates. It is important to note that the core is constructed on metal cores. This tape shares similar characteristics with the 3M™ 7945MP double coated tape but features a thicker carrier. Recommended for indoor and room temperature applications, it is primarily used for general industrial joining and affixing.
