3M™ 9589 double coated film tape measures 1" x 36 yds and has a thickness of 9 mil, with each case containing 36 rolls. This tape features a high-density polyethylene carrier with synthetic rubber adhesive applied to a densified kraft paper liner, which enhances both initial adhesion and holding power for a strong bond to various materials. The paper liner is treated to improve strength and removability, ensuring easy clean-up. Key attributes include the high-density polyethylene carrier that provides dimensional stability and allows for hand tearing, as well as an adhesive that removes cleanly from many surfaces. The tape exhibits excellent quick stick and high adhesion, making it suitable for a wide range of applications including carpet installation, general industrial mounting, joining and splicing, and die-cutting and laminating. Additionally, it complies with FDA 21 CFR 175.105 guidelines for indirect food contact.
