3M™ 415 double coated tape measures 2 inches by 36 yards and has a thickness of 4 mil. The package includes 24 rolls per case. This double coated tape offers a balance of high initial adhesion and good holding power on various substrates, particularly paper. It features double-sided adhesion that enhances dimensional stability for easy handling, making it suitable for both zero speed and flying splices during printing operations. Constructed from a 4.0 mil double coated polyester material, the tape utilizes 3M™ acrylic adhesive 400 and is mounted on a 60 lb densified kraft paper liner, allowing for excellent UV resistance and good performance in high temperature and humidity conditions during rigorous printing tasks. The tape reliably performs up to 180°F/82°C in the short term and up to 150°F/65°C over extended periods. It adheres effectively to a wide range of substrates, including low and high surface energy materials such as metals, glass, wood, paints, plastics, and various types of paper, films, foils, as well as clay coated and corrugated paper stock. It is particularly recommended for high-speed flying splices, zero speed splices, web splicing, core starting, and applications involving films and foils.
