The Jet® SSC Series electric chain hoist, with a capacity of 5 tons and a lift of 20 ft., operates at 115V/230V, making it suitable for both commercial and industrial applications. This hoist features a slip clutch overload protection mechanism that prevents lifting of damaging loads above its rated capacity and is available in single or three-phase configurations. The single-phase models include thermal overload protection to prevent overheating while the three-phase models have a reverse phase relay to safeguard against incorrect wiring. Additionally, it incorporates an industry-proven DC electro-magnetic brake that secures the load in the event of a power interruption. The maintenance-free gear train is designed with a sealed oil bath for enhanced reliability and durability. This series offers capacities ranging from 1/2 ton to 5 tons with standard lifts of 10, 15, and 20 feet, while custom lifts are available. Safety features include limit switches that prevent the load chain from over-traveling, and a Grade 80 black oxide coated load chain for added durability. It comes equipped with a 24-volt push button control pendant with cable strain relief. The hoist is designed with compliance to industry standards and carries relevant certifications, ensuring reliability and safety in operation.
