The Oz Lifting Stainless Steel Hand Winch with Brake has a capacity of 1500 lb. and is constructed from Type 304 stainless steel, making it suitable for harsh environments requiring corrosion resistance. This winch features a compact design, an ergonomic rubber handle, and multiple frame mounting positions. It is equipped with fully enclosed gearing, a solid machined gear, an automatic weatherproof Weston brake, and dual cable anchor points. The large diameter drum and high gear ratio enhance its performance. Notably, the winch includes a test certificate and serial number; however, wire rope is not included. Its performance characteristics with different wire rope diameters are as follows: with 3/16" diameter wire rope, the 1st layer can support 7 ft. at a 1500 lb. capacity load rating, the mid drum can handle 66 ft. at a 1250 lb. capacity load rating, and the full drum can accommodate 140 ft. at a 750 lb. capacity load rating. For a 1/4" diameter wire rope, the 1st layer supports 5 ft. at a 1500 lb. capacity load rating, the mid drum handles 27 ft. at a 1250 lb. capacity load rating, and the full drum supports 89 ft. at a 750 lb. capacity load rating. Note that actual drum capacities may be 25-30% less due to nonuniform winding, and wire rope tension can also affect drum capacity.
