The Oz Lifting Carbon Steel Hand Winch with Brake has a capacity of 2000 lb. and features an all-steel construction with a safety yellow powder coating for a durable finish. Its compact design includes an ergonomic rubber handle, multiple frame mounting positions, fully enclosed gearing, and solid machined gear. The winch is equipped with an automatic weatherproof Weston brake, dual cable anchor points, and a large diameter drum while offering a high gear ratio. Each unit includes a test certificate and serial number. Note that wire rope is not included. The performance characteristics indicate that with a 1/4" diameter wire rope, the winch provides a load rating of 2000 lb. for 8 ft. on the first layer, 1500 lb. for 36 ft. on the mid drum, and 1000 lb. for 85 ft. on the full drum. For a 5/16" diameter wire rope, the ratings are 2000 lb. for 7 ft. on the first layer, 1500 lb. for 22 ft. on the mid drum, and 1000 lb. for 52 ft. on the full drum. Actual drum capacities may be 25-30% less due to nonuniform winding, and wire rope tension will also affect drum capacity.
