Oatey 30894 PVC Rain-R-Shine Blue Cement is a 32 oz. medium-bodied blue cement designed for use on all schedules and classes of PVC pipe and fittings up to 6 inches in diameter with interference fit. This low-V.O.C. solvent cement complies with California South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) 1168/316A and BAAQMD Method 40, as well as various environmental requirements. It is a very fast-setting "hot" cement formulated for wet conditions, enabling quick pressurization and fast installation. The cement is appropriate for applications such as pool, irrigation, potable water, pressure pipe, conduit, and DWV systems. The recommended application temperature ranges from 40°F to 110°F (4°C to 43°C). No primer is needed on non-pressure DWV systems up to 6 inches in diameter where local codes permit, and the product meets ASTM D-2564 standards.
