Oatey 32162 PVC Blue Lava Hot Cement is a 16 oz. medium-bodied blue cement designed for use on all schedules and classes of PVC pipe and fittings up to 6" diameter with interference fit. This low-V.O.C. solvent cement complies with the California South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) 1168/316AOR BAAQMD method 40 and various other environmental requirements. It is a very fast-setting "hot" cement formulated for wet conditions, allowing for quick pressurization and fast installation. The product is recommended for potable water, sewer, and DWV applications, with an optimal application temperature range of 40°F to 110°F (4°C to 43°C). No primer is needed on non-pressure DWV applications where local codes permit, and it meets ASTM D2564 standards.
