This very aggressive purple-tinted primer is designed for use on PVC and CPVC pipe and fittings. It is a low V.O.C. solvent cement that complies with the California South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) 1168/316A and BAAQMD Method 40, along with various environmental requirements. The primer is specifically recommended for commercial and large diameter thermoplastic piping systems, particularly for CPVC Sch. 40 / 80 applications, and is ideal for cold weather use. It effectively removes surface dirt, grease, and grime while softening the pipe surface to facilitate a fast and secure solvent weld. This product is suitable for areas where plumbing codes require verification of primer use and is NSF and IAPMO listed, meeting the ASTM F656 specification.
