Oatey 30328 EP42 CPVC - PVC HD gray industrial cement is a heavy-bodied industrial gray solvent cement specifically designed for use on PVC and CPVC piping systems requiring chemical resistance to caustics, including hypochlorite, mineral acids, and aqueous salt solutions. It is suitable for schedules 40 and 80 PVC and CPVC pipes up to 12" diameter, as well as other classes and schedules with interference fit. This cement is resistant to caustics and hypochlorites up to a 15 percent solution, and users are encouraged to refer to the EP 42 chemical resistance chart for compatibility with chemical solutions. It is also suitable for all CPVC materials, including Corzan industrial piping systems. The product features an ultra violet indicator that allows for quick and easy inspection of dry fit joints with any UV light source. The recommended application temperature is between 40 degrees to 110 degrees Fahrenheit. Oatey 30328 complies with various environmental requirements, including SCAQMD rule 1168/316A or BAAQMD method 40 for VOC with maximum content of 490 g/L and meets and exceeds ASTM F 493 standards. The product has a two year shelf life.
