Oatey 30330 EP42 CPVC - PVC HD gray industrial cement comes in a 1-gallon container and is a heavy-bodied industrial gray solvent cement specifically designed for use on PVC and CPVC piping systems requiring chemical resistance to caustics, including hypochlorite, mineral acids, and aqueous salt solutions. It is suitable for schedules 40 and 80 CPVC and PVC pipes up to 12 inches in diameter, as well as other classes and schedules with interference fit. This cement is resistant to caustics and hypochlorites up to a 15 percent solution, and compatibility with chemical solutions should be verified using the EP 42 chemical resistance chart before use. It is compatible with all CPVC materials, including Corzan industrial piping systems, and features an ultra violet indicator that allows for quick and easy inspection of dry fit joints with any UV light source. The recommended application temperature for this product is between 40 degrees Fahrenheit to 110 degrees Fahrenheit. Additionally, it complies with various environmental requirements and SCAQMD Rule 1168/316A or BAAQMD Method 40 for VOC with a maximum content of 490 g/L. The cement has a two-year shelf life and meets and exceeds ASTM F 493 standards.
