Ideal Shield's octagon sign base is constructed from durable polyethylene plastic, providing a maintenance-free, lightweight yet strong system. The octagon sign base measures 8 inches wide and 20 inches in height on each side, while the standard sign stick height is 98 inches. For optimal installation, the base can be filled with concrete, sand, or water, with a maximum capacity of 11.5 gallons of water. In areas subject to freezing temperatures, it is recommended to fill the sign base with 10 gallons of water to accommodate expansion.
