The Nerp series of electric chain hoists from Harrington has been designed with advanced technology and includes a push/pull trolley, resulting in high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists that ensure reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. Key features comprise "The Guardian," a smart brake technology utilizing a current-driven electromagnetic brake that does not release unless the motor is energized, grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, and a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. The hoists also feature a five-pocket load sheave to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake due to a fan-cooled motor, low-profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. Additionally, these hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, environmentally friendly as they meet RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is provided with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
