The Nerp series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are engineered with advanced technology and feature a push/pull trolley, resulting in high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists that deliver reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged unless the motor is energized, along with a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain. The hoists come equipped with a count hour meter to record and display the number of lowering starts and hoist operating time, a five-pocket load sheave designed to minimize vibration and extend chain life, and a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor design. Additionally, these hoists incorporate low-profile upper and lower limit switches as well as plug-in pendant and power supply cords. They are UL listed to UL 1340, built to be environmentally friendly in compliance with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist includes a test certificate verifying that it has undergone factory load testing to 125% of its rated capacity in accordance with ASME B30.16.
