The Nerp series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are designed using the latest technology and incorporate a push/pull trolley, resulting in high quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists that deliver reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current driven electromagnetic brake that does not release unless the motor is energized, grade 80 nickel plated load chain, a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time, a 5-pocket load sheave to reduce vibration and extend chain life, and a cooler motor and brake attributed to the fan-cooled motor. Additionally, the hoists feature low-profile upper and lower limit switches along with plug-in pendant and power supply cords. They are UL listed to UL 1340, built to be environmentally friendly to meet RoHS requirements, and exceed ASME H4 duty rating. All hoists are provided with a test certificate verifying that each unit has been factory load tested to 125% of rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
