The Nerp series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features a push/pull trolley and incorporates advanced technology for high quality and low headroom design, ensuring reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current driven electromagnetic brake that only releases when the motor is energized, Grade 80 nickel plated load chain, and a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. The design includes a five pocket load sheave to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor, and low profile upper and lower limit switches along with plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, environmentally friendly meeting RoHS requirements, and exceed ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist includes a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity in accordance with ASME B30.16.
