The Nerp series of electric chain hoists from Harrington incorporates advanced technology and features a push/pull trolley, resulting in high-quality, low headroom, full-featured hoists designed for reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged unless the motor is energized, grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, and a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. Additionally, the hoists feature a 5-pocket load sheave to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a fan-cooled motor that contributes to a cooler motor and brake, low profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built to be environmentally friendly in accordance with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each unit is supplied with a test certificate verifying that it has undergone factory load testing at 125% of its rated capacity, in compliance with ASME B30.16.
