The Nerp series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are designed with advanced technology and feature a push/pull trolley, resulting in high-quality, low headroom hoists that deliver reliable performance in both routine and severe working environments. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that does not release unless the motor is energized, a grade 80 nickel plated load chain, and a count hour meter that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. Additionally, the hoists feature a 5 pocket load sheave to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor, low profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built environmentally friendly to meet RoHS requirements, and exceed ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist comes with a test certificate verifying it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
