The Nerp series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are engineered with advanced technology and feature a push/pull trolley, resulting in high-quality, low headroom hoists that deliver reliable performance in both routine and challenging environments. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which employs a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged unless the motor is powered, and a Grade 80 nickel-plated load chain for enhanced durability. Additional attributes comprise a count hour meter that logs and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist operation time, a five-pocket load sheave designed to minimize vibration and prolong chain life, and a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled design. The hoists also include low-profile upper and lower limit switches, along with plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, manufactured to be environmentally friendly in compliance with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist comes with a test certificate confirming that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
