The Nerp Dual Speed series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features a push/pull trolley equipped with an under-the-cover variable frequency drive, providing exceptional load control with field-adjustable two speeds and a speed ratio of up to 12:1. Key attributes include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged unless the motor is energized, and a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain. The variable frequency drive allows for speed adjustability and includes integral hour count functionality that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. This series also boasts a 5-pocket load sheave designed to minimize vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor, and low profile upper and lower limit switches along with plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, comply with RoHS environmental standards, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist comes with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity in accordance with ASME B30.16.
