The Nerp Dual Speed series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features a push/pull trolley equipped with an under-the-cover variable frequency drive, offering exceptional load control and field-adjustable two speeds with up to a 12:1 speed ratio. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which comprises a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged until the motor is energized, a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, and a variable frequency drive that enables speed adjustability and includes integral hour counting functionality that records and displays the number of lowering starts and total hoist operation time. The design incorporates a 5-pocket load sheave to minimize vibration and prolong chain life, along with a cooler motor and brake facilitated by a fan-cooled motor, low profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built to be environmentally friendly in accordance with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Additionally, all hoists are accompanied by a test certificate confirming that each unit has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, complying with ASME B30.16 standards.
