The Nerp Dual Speed series of electric chain hoists from Harrington features a push/pull trolley equipped with an under-the-cover variable frequency drive, allowing for exceptional load control and field-adjustable two speeds with a speed ratio of up to 12:1. Key features include "The Guardian": Smart Brake Technology, which consists of a current-driven electromagnetic brake that does not release unless the motor is energized, as well as a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain. The variable frequency drive provides speed adjustability and includes integral count hour functionality to record and display the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. The design incorporates a 5-pocket load sheave that reduces vibration and extends chain life, a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor, low profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, environmentally friendly by meeting RoHS requirements, and they exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Additionally, all hoists come with a test certificate verifying that they have been factory load tested to 125% of their rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
