The NER Dual Speed series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are equipped with an under the cover variable frequency drive that provides exceptional load control and field-adjustable two speeds with a speed ratio of up to 12:1. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged until the motor is energized, as well as a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain. The variable frequency drive allows for speed adjustability and includes integral hour count functionality that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. Additional attributes consist of a 5-pocket load sheave designed to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor, low profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built to be environmentally friendly by meeting RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist comes with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
