The NER Dual Speed series of electric chain hoists from Harrington feature an under-the-cover variable frequency drive, allowing for exceptional load control and field adjustable two speeds with up to a 12:1 speed ratio. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged unless the motor is powered, a grade 80 nickel plated load chain, and the variable frequency drive for speed adjustability, which includes integral hour counting functionality that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist operational time. The design incorporates a five-pocket load sheave to minimize vibration and prolong chain life, a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor, low profile upper and lower limit switches, as well as plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built in compliance with RoHS requirements, and exceed ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist includes a test certificate confirming it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
