The NER series of electric chain hoists from Harrington are engineered with advanced technology to deliver high quality, low headroom, and full-featured performance suitable for both routine tasks and harsh working environments. Key features include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, which utilizes a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged unless the motor is energized. Additional attributes consist of a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, a count hour meter that tracks and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time, and a five-pocket load sheave designed to minimize vibration and extend chain life. The hoists are equipped with a cooler motor and brake thanks to a fan-cooled design, low profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. These hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, comply with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist includes a test certificate confirming that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
