The Nerp Dual Speed Series of electric chain hoists from Harrington incorporate a push/pull trolley with an under-the-cover variable frequency drive, providing exceptional load control and field-adjustable two speeds with up to a 12:1 speed ratio. Key features include "The Guardian," which is a smart brake technology utilizing a current-driven electromagnetic brake that does not release unless the motor is energized, a grade 80 nickel-plated load chain, and a variable frequency drive that allows for speed adjustability and integral count hour functionality to record and display the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. The design includes a 5-pocket load sheave to reduce vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake due to the fan-cooled motor, low profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built to be environmentally friendly by meeting RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is provided with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity in accordance with ASME B30.16.
