The NER Dual Speed series of electric chain hoists from Harrington feature an under-the-cover variable frequency drive that provides exceptional load control and field adjustable two speeds with up to a 12:1 speed ratio. Key attributes of the hoists include "The Guardian" smart brake technology, a current-driven electromagnetic brake that remains engaged until the motor is energized, and a grade 80 nickel plated load chain. The variable frequency drive allows for speed adjustability and includes integral count hour functionality that records and displays the number of lowering starts and hoist on time. Additionally, the design incorporates a 5 pocket load sheave to minimize vibration and extend chain life, a cooler motor and brake due to a fan-cooled motor, low profile upper and lower limit switches, and plug-in pendant and power supply cords. The hoists are UL listed to UL 1340, built to be environmentally friendly in compliance with RoHS requirements, and exceed the ASME H4 duty rating. Each hoist is supplied with a test certificate verifying that it has been factory load tested to 125% of its rated capacity, in accordance with ASME B30.16.
